Dr. Cook is the number caring dentist I've ever met in my life. I broke a tooth over chewing a bone almost two weeks ago. I went to 2 different dentists in Aventura, they were useless. One office instead of focusing on my pain, but we're focussing on my plan. They're kept saying " you have a great plan." I told them clearly that I need a tooth extraction when I called to set up the appointment. After they went over my plan, the so-called dentist arrived, looked at the X-Ray and gave me a list of diagnoses. Further, I said that I am here for a tooth extraction. Well, I am sorry, but your appointment was scheduled too late (4 pm) to do a tooth extraction. The dentist was already out the door, but I said what about my pain? She replied "oh you're in pain? I'll prescribe you some ibuprofen." They gave me a 2-week appointment. I was in pain and hopeless. So I went online and found another one. I called immediately and they told me yes I may come the next day. Next day, I got there at 10 AM. The lobby was empty. I said to myself "yes they will call me fast." After 20 minutes of patiently sitting there. One client walked in. Then a VIP walked in. Now, they pushed my chart in the back. I still didn't say anything. @12:30, I approached the receptionist to inquire when are they going to call me? With an attitude she replied, we're trying to accommodate you here because you don't have an appointment. I said but I called and they told me it's ok to come. She replied with arrogance, but that was the "on-call people." At that point, I went to my phone and google "Dentist in North Miami Beach" and Dr. Cook popped up. I kid you not, while I was still in the waiting room. I stepped out and called them. Instantly, they listened to me and scheduled me for 230 pm. But I said you closed at 130pm. She said Dr. Cook said it's ok you can come because it's an emergency. Meantime, I walked to the receptionist at that funny dental and I told her to cancel my appointment. She said, "oh no, let me go in the back to see what's going on?" I replied: You don't have to, I'm fine, thank you, and I left. They called me on my cell after I left; I did not answer. I walked in there at 230, by 240, Xray was already taken by Ms. Claudia, very nice. By the time I was done; it was 530pm. Dr. Cook was patient and caring. Though I felt bad that her staff and she had to work four hours later. Her response was:" It's not about me, but about you." She further said: I wouldn't mind if you had to walk here at 8:30 pm, I wouldn't turn you away because I know how a toothache feels. This is the dentist that I believe you all should have. I hate to go to the dentist, but today she makes me love going to the dentist. She's not a business-driven dentist, but a caring one. She sees her client first. Finally, her staff is awesome, caring, and courteous. Vanessa is my angel. She took so much time with me on the phone by going back and forth to Dr. Cook to making sure that I was seen by her. She was too devoted and involved. Overall, they really made my day. Readers, I highly recommend Mount Zion Dental Place to you and your loved ones.

I did some search On-line and decided to go see Dr. Maria Cook. I was basically a Walk-in and they graciously welcomed me. Vanessa at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. Sandra the Dental hygienist was very friendly and sweet and helped me to relax about what I was experiencing at that time. Then I met Dr. Maria....Woow! What a charming personality! She patiently listened to all my concerns (including the financial one) and explained all treatment and payment options with no pressure. She even gave me a few mins. to think about what I wanted to do. Very professional and great work ethics! She treated me like I was a friend of hers and that made me feel so comfortable and relaxed.

I had my wisdom tooth take out by Dr. Maria Cook and she was amazing. It felt like it took no time and it felt effortless. She gave a lot of attention to my comfort and i barely felt a thing. I would just like to say that the staff here are great ,I came in because of a bad toothache. I got appointment right away, had to have a root canal and I was afraid because of stories I've heard. But I must say I didn't feel a thing minimal pain I won't go anywhere else they're great I highly recommend Mount Zion Dental.

Dr Cook is the best Dentist!
She is so knowledgeable, skilled , caring and patient. She listens to you and creates the best treatment plan for you. The prices are also reasonable . Her technology is of the latest and the office is so welcoming. All the support staff are great! Please go see Dr Cook you won't be disappointed!

Was finalized with the placement of a temporary denture in order to lead the life and waiting time for the second surgery as normal as possible. After a few months the second surgery was performed, after a series of tests, xrays and ctscan, was performed, with a new procedure faster and less complicated which I found myself less stressful.
I know that what is missing is little for the total finale but the process itself was always executed correctly, I thank Dr Cook and all the staff who collaborate with her who always have a kind smile and pending of each One of the details at each appointment.

She is the best dentist I ever went to in my life, I am 60! I have a fear of dentists as a result of the sub standard care I received. Dr Cook has changed all that. She is amazing, highly professional and ethical. She does not recommend treatments that are totally unnecessary just for profit like other dentists do. I was explained what was needed, why, and how much it would cost me. No pressure! The office staff all wonderful. Dee was so knowledgeable regarding insurance and other payment options to allow me to finally get the care I very much needed. I had a crown placed on the same day! I also had an implant placed yesterday. Both procedures were quick and with minimal pain. I even asked Dr Cook are you finished already? She is so skilled, with all the latest technology! But she is also so sweet and caring. Please go see her take care of your teeth you won't be disappointed!

I delayed going to the dentist for a year, in search of the "best dentist!" I live in Fort Lauderdale and am happy to drive to Mount Zion Dental in North Miami Beach.
